DUI Checkpoint Friday 8/20/2010 In Chino Hills

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Chino Hills department has announced that they will be conducting a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location within the city. It is to take place on Friday August 20, 2010 between the hours of 6pm and 2am. Deputies will reportedly be checking for signs of intoxication as well as valid drivers licenses.

If you live or work in Chino Hills it is a good idea to make sure you have your drivers license on you, proof of insurance coverage, valid registration and of course a designated driver if you plan to have some drinks after work. It is never a good idea to get behind the wheel of your car after drinking even if you feel that you are “ok” to drive.

If you are caught without a valid license, registration, proof of insurance or being drunk behind the wheel the police can impound your car and you can also be charged fines that can total over a thousand dollars! Not only that, but if you drink and drive you can endanger the lives of your passengers and other motorists. It’s definitely not worth it to take that type of risk. So if you are out there this weekend be careful and make sure you have all of your info together just in case you run into a checkpoint.
